You need to keep them filled with grease; a dry trunion will wear out quickly and/or drop a driveshaft.

Gary H , what is the maintenance for the b&t? Mine is still good and want to keep it that way. I have a few used ones that are attached to drive shafts just incase I need one. I do see some one ebay from time to time. Are those correct, (ie new, nos ) Should I pick on up?- John Wask...
