RE: Floor board repair

Brian,

It's actually pretty easy to do.  I had almost the exact same thing on 
my 62 Sport Fury.  I cleaned the area and cut out the area with a die 
grinder & spot weld cutter (let me know if you want pics).  

Replacement piece was easy to make with some sheet metal & vise.  I plug 
welded the "spot welds" & stitch welded the rest - it was my first time 
welding sheet metal.
