IIRC. I used this type on my engine. Evidently the heads had been milled enough that I couldn't use all the recommended gaskets.  I just used the thinner paper gasket on the intake side and sealer. Just barely got the bolts in the intake man. bit I think it is sealed up well......................MO

There was some trouble getting the aluminum six barrel intakes to seal properly when they came out so the paper gaskets were introduced. I've used them with and without successfully. I suppose it was machining tolerances from Edelbrock causing the trouble but you didn't hear that from me. There is no reason the factory tin gasket couldn't be used indefinitely over and over if new paper gaskets were used every time. I like to use some sealer like comes with tin gasket from Felpro or Hi Tack sealer on the port area and silicone on the ends to seal everything.
