same thing has happend to me as I had said .the 4 carbs I had used on my truck had caused some engine damage that cost my more money , one carb had started a leek internaly while I was driving the truck . it loaded so much fuel into the engine it flooded while driving at 55mph , the cyclinders had filled up completely with fuel and the engine just stopped turning , and I should mention that the truck has a manual trans in it and going 55mph when the engine shut down was like slamming on the brakes.. at first I thought the engine had just seized up from who know's what . but when I raised the hood I could smell the raw gas very stong. Its a long stoey so I'LL just say that it was a long night. the bad carb caused more damage than the carb had cost in the first place, but don't get me wrong there will come a time when im sure that I will buy another holley carb. after that said if anything like this were to happen to my IMPERIAL after all the money and work to get it restored and to have a stupid part like a bad carb damage my car I would be PI$$ED.
