Re: IML: How to take apart '67 hood ornament?

Tim and all interested in the 67 Emblem, Reproducing Quality Lenses and
Emblems is a very Time Consuming thing, but you only get out what you but
in, so unless the time is put into Restoring the Basic Emblem/Lens before
moulding you just get a copy of the Original Sad Part. Internal cracks are
Very hard to repair/Hide becaus the inside always has the Figures-Lines or
whatever, so it is near Impossible to work in there and not compromise it.
The outerside is a differant story of course, and all I can say is that My
lenses and Emblems go out with a Mirror Finish on them, and until you have
that Mirror Finish on the outside you just will not ever see the full effect
of the Emblem as it is meant to be seen. If anyone has an Emblem to send me
I will start work on the project, but of course the better it original is to
start with the better for me to work with, the quicker it gets done, please
email me of line georgelaurie@xxxxxxxxxxx if you would like to send an
emblem, regards George.
