I have begun the process of rebiliding the front end on my '59 Imperial. Yesterday I got everything pulled off and labeled and got the center link ready to ship out for rebuilding. All these parts are covered in massive amounts of 45 year old gunk that I swear could safely be used to hold a jumbo jet together instead of rivets. I used an entire can of comet just trying to get it all off me after the day was done. So what do yall use to clean this kind of stuff? I normally use simple green or gunk and this stuff just laughs at both of those products. I want it all to be pretty and clean before I try to put it back together again.
