RE: IML: jammed fuel line!

I've had this one.  The car only sat for 6 years.  That old gas is going to 
be varnish anyway, so the best bet is to pull the tank and have it boiled at 
a radiator shop, provided it has no leaks.  The quick and dirty way, which 
is of course what I did, is to hook your compressor up to the fuel line and 
blow some air back into the tank.  I used a trigger on the compressor 
stuffed into rubber line up near the pump.  Take the cap off the tank so the 
air has somewhere to go.  On mine you could hear the whoosh and then the 
bubbling fuel as the air came through.  I would add a filter and be ready to 
change them regularly because the tank is probably rusty and it's probably a 
clogged sock filter causing the problem.
