Good point, I should have noticed that. Yes, the voltage sounds about right for idle. The pump gets reluctant to start when it accumulates gelled gas inside, according to Bob Baker; that would no doubt affect the idle voltage, but 2 1/2 sounds about right to me. Since this point is within the feedback loop, it probably isn't critical.
