I do not for one second believe that a '69 could stop from 60 mph in 116 feet, or that '69 Lincoln could stop in 109. That was top of the class for sports cars that weighed almost a ton less through the mid-nineties. I'm sure the '69 had excellent brakes for the time, but does anybody believe the car stopped 45 feet shorter for MT? What's the deal with that test-one of you guys must know?

Also, John, I'm not surprised your Imperial might feel better than your Supercrew. Pickups do not instill confidence in braking, but computers (anti-lock, etc) have certainly helped on that score.
