Not a stupid question.

A "Hollander's" is a set of manuals that most successful wrecking yards
have. They are very expensive to keep up to date, but they show every
interchangeable part for every car for the years that they cover.

The answer posted by Bill Watson is the definitive answer to parts
interchangeability and the body code/VIN code question for the Y body RWD
cars - I won't try to improve on it!
