Pros and cons of 2 bateries?

Kevin;
 Don't wire them in series! If you wire them in series you will end up with
24V across circuitry designed to take 12V which can do anything from popping
light bulbs to cooking your radio plus frying relays. You will also have
trouble keeping both batteries charged with that arrangement. If you are
planning on using two batteries hook them up in parallel, then you will have
a greater reserve. The question that I have is why you would need two in the
first place? If you have a consumption problem, and have a discharging
battery, then it would be better to find the problem and fix it rather then
trying to overwhelm it.
