Hi. As I understand, Only the 81's had an actual crystal hood ornament. It
was clear only with no writing, logo, etc. In 1982 they went to a plastic
hood ornament. I have had many of these cars, and all 81" that still had an
ornament were crystal. All of the 82,83 have had plastic. Much later there
was a plastic ornament with gold Imperial Eagle on it that I have seen added
to these cars. Bob
