paint spraying air pressure

The can of paint..or primer will tell you. Mix to directions exactly... wear a respirator even while primering.

At what pressure should the air compressor be set for primering and
painting an auto?
I am trying this on a non Imperial, as not to destroy a perfectly good
car.
