These years seem to have that feeling built into the car.
Often the problem are sagged worn leaf springs. Old tires can cause this &
of course, the notorious idler arm.

My '71, when I bought it in 1999, had sat in a garage since
1979. Twenty years without being driven. I have yet to replace an
idler arm on it or any of the bushings, and it drives fine.
