How old is the car?, was Sloppy Steering

These years seem to have that feeling built into the car. Often the problem are sagged worn leaf springs. Old tires can cause this & of course, the notorious idler arm.

My '71, when I bought it in 1999, had sat in a garage since 1979.
Twenty years without being driven.  I have yet to replace an idler arm
on it or any of the bushings, and it drives fine.
