I am not negative on car washes, actually I have used car washes countless dozens of times on my 1996 Cadillac Eldorado (including today). There is just a world of difference between my 96 cady and my 55 Imperial i.e. paint quality, adhesion to substrate, steel quality, paint prep , etc., etc.
