This sounds like a great plan Ernie, I noticed your comment about the legal
issue. Somehow I doubt that there would be as much of a chance that you would
be faced with a liability law suit over a drive shaft bearing support as you
could be over brake parts. The point is you never know.
Personally, if it hadn't occurred to me, I would welcome advice from others
that could prevent me from possibly losing everything I have worked for. I
don't think anyone ever said that you should not proceed with your project.
There is a simple answer and it is called Liability Insurance. If you plan to
manufacture anything and sell it you should probably consider it. I have never
sued anyone for anything in my life, but that doesn't mean that I wouldn't want
to help point out the potential to a friend who has a good idea.
