On the three late fifties or early sixties Imperials I have been associated with one hard stop from hiway speeds and the brakes and HOT. They still work but not nearly as well as they did until the cool off again in a few minutes. I avoid driving in rush traffic here because of the number of people who like to 60 to 0 in 2 seconds for no obvious reason…. The Imperial just can’t stop as fast as they do.
