Whatever you do DO NOT use Johnson Plating in Oakland, Ca. Although known in the past for good work, and he does do some good work as I have seen...
... He had 10 pieces I dropped off to him of chroming (pot metal) 2 years later and 1000 phone calls/visits etc. I still do not have them back. The pieces (some) I saw were ground down to nothing but a thin sheet, bend in all the wrong directions. A few pieces were fantastic but overall he did not follow through with the job in my case.
Fortunately, I have sold the car since then. My resentment though still is alive and well...
