55 desoto coronado for sale

i don't know much about desotos (or autos in general for that matter),
but i saw this car whilst visiting Santa Monica, CA last week. i totally
dig it. unfortunately i don't have $5000 (and i live in Boston, MA which
has a host of issues). it needs a paint job, has a few small dents but
other than that it's in pretty good shape, IMHO.

i talked to the guy today and thought maybe someone else would want it
(or buy it for me!). idunno. i don't have any affiliation with this
guy...just sharing info.

here is what he told me about it:

1955 Desosto Coronado four door...1 of 487 built.
     [special three tone paint California edition (aquagreen/black/white)]
Restored Interior by SMS (?in Oregon or Washington state)
291 Hemmi Rebuilt with 2000 miles on it (cost of rebuild was $5500
apparently)
total mileage 63,000
he is the third owner, he's had it for 14 or 16 years
new brakes ($1200 spent on this)
5000 miles on the new (or rebuilt?) transmission
comes with an extra grill too
asking $5000

he says he has four cars and only room to park three since his recent
move to Venice, CA.
