I have to agree with Dave. It's not the fact that it's the law and a "Big
Brother" issue to me. I want my family to be safe. There's NO WAY my two
year old is setting foot in my Plymouth until there is a properly secured
child seat in the back (tether in the package shelf as well). This way, I
know he will stay put in his seat, and won't climb around, trying to open
the doors etc. There will also be lap belts in the front as well. Those door
latches don't really seem like they'd withstand an impact at over 40mph, and
flying out of my car at speed doesn't really sound like a good time..
