Hi Dave, Are the overhaul kits for the cast iron torqueflites that much more expensive than the ones for a 727??? I just paid $140. for a complete kit...clutches, bands, seals, gaskets, filter...it is all there! It is the upgraded kit, and it is year specific! Send me the tranny numbers...usually stamped on the tranny main body side...and any other details...year, etc. and I will check out a price on rebuild kits from my local guys...they have been super good to me. They seem to know where to get the old tranny kits very reasonable. The guy I am having rebuild my 727 charges around $100...he knows them inside and out, as he builds dragster trannies and old Mopar car trannies. Torqueflites are his specialty. $1,200 and some of the other prices I am hearing on this list are astronmical! I will let the list know what I can do...if anything.
