Have a 16,000 mile one a few feet from here.

Mine is the brown and the rims are the same color as the bottom of the car.
The firewall is body color and the underside of the hood is blue/gray primer
just as was still done in 55 on the Chryslers at least.(forwardlook
content!)  Mine hood has been undercoated which was common then but you can
see a few traces of the original primer.

There were at least three of the different color combinations offered always
two tone I believe.   Great article in Special Interest Autos years ago
which is what got me interested in the Suburbans originally.

Write me off list with any other questions you may have.   They are neat
cars---a little underpowered though!!  Even have the plastic hood ornament
on ours!  Now if I can just come up with a lite kit!
