I've also been having problems with these two gauges quitting at around the same time last year on my 60. First the fuel gauge was intermittent, then shortly after that they both quit. In trying to debug them yestday, I shorted the temp sender to the battery negative hoping to see the gauge spike to full hot. It didn't. Then I shorted it to battery positive (briefly) and not only did the temp gauge spike to full hot, but to my surprise the fuel gauge also began to climb. Somehow these two are connected and I'm real curious if someone can enlighten me.
