Netcraft makes a great phishing tool bar that they claim is better than Ebays. Get it at http://news.netcraft.com/ The people at netcraft are good people. You should be running some kind of anti virus on any Windows PC you have. Try to avoid Norton Anti Virus and MC Affee because they are real junk in the consumer version that you will have available to you. If you want a decent anti virus with support and timely updates run AVG which is free for home use. That is what I run after my computer got infected with a virus that shut down Norton. This AVG program saved my computer. Get AVG at http://free.grisoft.com/doc/1 You should also install all Microsoft security patches when they become available. If you want to pay about $50 there are better anti virus products but free AVG is real decent and has free updates forever and they are frequent as required to keep current for the viruses that are around. Grisoft has definitely made the web a safer place by giving this software away. They are a good anti virus company and a great marketing company. Best paid anti virus products are Kaspersky http://www.kaspersky.com/ which supposedly also removes of 99 percent of spyware too, which I would consider a definite feature and NOD32 http://www.nod32.com/home/home.htm which is also supposed to be good. I found out about these from computer security lists I read. They are like this list but about computer viruses and such. If you are running one of the older Windows versions that are not Windows 2000 or Windows XP do get one of the above because Microsoft is not putting out a patch for that WMF vulnerability for these ie Windows 98, 95, or ME. I think Microsoft wants all of us to buy their new stuff. Sometimes I think they put someone up to that WMF vulnerability just to sell upgrades. Just my paranoid rant. Hope this helps. I have supported Windows PCs for a living for the United States Department of Justice among others. If you think you have problems with computers you ought to see the problems the government has. Lots of PCs, lots of problems.
