The short ram H car I mentioned earlier that was for sale in SoCal had been sold out of the Pomona Chrysler store and I recall the story was that it was thought to be the car that Hot Rod Mag tested in the article. Wish I could remember the seller's name. Think he had owned it for some time - he lived in Yorba Linda as I recall. Granatelli bought one of the white 300F Specials post '60 Daytona and developed his dual Paxton setup on that car which then ran Daytona and Bonneville in '61. Top speed in that car was 189.999 mph. He sold it to a company that ran tire tests at Bonneville and a couple of years later it was said to have gone to Texas. For '62 Andy ran a red '62 Plymouth. You may remember it kicking around some of the big name auctions like Barret-Jackson around ten years ago. As I recall, that car broke over the 200 mph barrier. Wayne in beautiful Kerrville, TX, 60o and cloudless. Have you noticed the days are getting longer already?
