According to my paint chip chart, the factory used a suede finish paint to preclude glare from the sun, on-coming headlights, etc. My 65 Ditzler chart lists 6 collors: black code 9324, dark blue 13018, dark turquoise 13019, dark tan 22356, dark gold 22464, and dark red 71390. I'd be willing to bet a decent paint supply house could cross-reference those number and come up with paint that matches.

OK, next question. I'm about to prep my dash for paint (now that the head light switch is gone). What paint should I use? I was planning on using a good quality rattle can primer then a gloss black. I will be sand blasting and hand sanding where needed before priming. This dash has been painted at least once before so it will take a fair amount of prep before any paint is applied. Any other comments or suggestions?
