${top_text_ad} We may be talking about the same piece. Mine looks like it's chrome trim ~ 1-1.5" wide w/ a bunch of snaps for the boot. Can anyone else confirm this trim does or doesn't hold the top down on a 65 Coronet? -- Bill M 65 Coronet 500 'vert http://1962to1965mopar.ornocar.com/mmo62008.html http://www.marylandmopars.net/membersrides/Bill-MelissaCoronet/Bill-MelissaCoronet.htm 73 Dart Sport, 00 Cherokee Sport, 01 Dakota SLT 21 Model T Depot Hack, 92 Accord, 06 Mazda 3 On Sun, Jan 10, 2010 at 10:12 AM, Rick Gilmore <rickgilmore66@xxxxxxxxxxx> wrote: > > If you are talking about the pot metal piece that runs along the top of the rear quarter by the back window, I believe the correct term is belt molding, and if that is what you are talking about, it does not hold the top on, at least if doesn't on my 63 Fury Vert. Mine is pot metal, pitting like crazy, but with the cost of rechroming, I'll wait until my other pieces come back from Pauls before I send them off. > > > > Rick Gilmore > > Elon, NC > >> To: 1962to1965mopars@xxxxxxxxxx >> From: Y1TopBanana73@xxxxxxxxx >> Subject: Convertible Stuff >> Date: Sun, 10 Jan 2010 09:13:58 -0500 >> >> >> I'm looking into re-painting my convertible, and I'd like to pull ALL >> the chrome and do it as close to right as I can.
