Chassis dyno HP is a mystery to me . I know it is measured at the tires and
more actual, but how does it compare to HP at the crank? Your set up sounds
to me like it would be putting out about 425 engine HP. Is your engine
putting out as much HP as expected? Tuneing or launch is about all I can
think of to get it faster..........................MO

The engine is a 30 over 440. It has an AED (Holley) 850 cfm mechanical
secondaries, Torker 2 intake and Doug's 1 3/4" headers. Cam is a Comp 545
lift
with 285/297 duration (grind 21-228 3 bolt). Head are 452 castings with
oversized valves and a stage one porting by Koeffles that really woke up the
motor. Compression is a true 9.5 so it runs on 93 octane. 4.10 dana on 3800#
SS
Springs and a snubber.
I chassis dynoed it a couple of weeks ago and hit 360 HP at 5500 and 463
torque
at 3600 rpm. HP is over 300 from 3500 to over 6400 rpm. Weight is 3680 plus
a
195# driver. I think a tank is lighter than this thing.
If you weren't able to load the YouTube video, search on YouTube for "Don
Gallimore" and you will find two different videos. One dated 2011 and
another
2010 - they are the same run from two different cameras. The 2010 version
shows
Rich Christensen's antics on the starting line. He really moves around.

Ran Pinks All Out at Summit Raceway Park (Norwalk) last weekend. This is
my
final qualifying run on Rich's arm drop. Guy in the other lane was a
little
wired as he jumped the drop. Made us both back up and restage so that they
could restart the R/T clocks. I beat him off the line by .300 and then out
ET'd
him by a mere .012 seconds. My run was a best ever 12.265 @ 109.94. 60
foot at
1.70. Very happy with my performance. Here's my run:

After looking at the run, I appreciate any comments and suggestions on
where
to
go to get that last .25 seconds so I can have a sub 12 second street car.
No
NOS!
One thing I find intreging is that they tell you to set the pinion snubber
at
1/2 inch off the floor for an automatic but this thing obviously in
preloaded
before it leaves the line. I'm hold the RPMs at 1500 on the line. Also,
notice
the two different rises on the back of the car on the two staging
attempts.
Thanks.
