RE: Max Wedge driveshaft



One article pointed out that these were "heavy duty" but did not explain 
what that meant. The only thing I recall reading is that the driveshafts 
were "specially balanced" to handle the extra speed. I don't think they 
were bigger diameter than a big block driveshaft. The boot may have had 
extra adhesive to keep it secure at Max Wedge speeds, but that is 
something I heard but can't verify in a reference.  

I looked in a police car reference book to see if there was a special 
heavy duty cop car driveshaft but could not find one listed. I may have 
overlooked it if it is there. If so, it would seem a good candidate for 
the max wedge cars.
