IML: Mark IV A/C

Regarding Joe Still's 1961 car, it's been brought to my attention that the Mark IV rear a/c was the norm up thru the late 50's, which of course I've known for years. I should clarify my earlier post. The oddity that crossed my mind was the offering of dual front and rear units in the aftermarket realm, like Chrysler offered for the 1961 model year. In review, this would seem a natural combo, but I don't think I've ever come across this aftermarket dual setup before.

The not very clear headed, head-cold suffering....

Joe,
Thats is really interesting that the Mark IV air conditioner would offer a
front and rear unit. The aftermarket rear A/C unit is likely more rare than
the factory offered rear unit, I've never come across a Mark IV rear unit
before. I wonder if Airtemp had any connection to Mark IV and supplied
rebadged units? Truely a unique item. Thanks again for sharing those
pictures.
