Good point John. A "nailhead" or "L-head" straight eight (or whatever their names were) has nothing in common with my 440's. The only way I connect with those is that I am part of the old car preservation hobby, and I like to hear about 40's or 50's cars, even though I do not plan in owning or operating one, or even though I can offer no technical help to those folks (they probably don't need it anyway, most people that mess with such old cars are already very technically competent).
